Terms & Conditions

Engagement & Website Use Overview
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of technoleanlab.com. Delivery of electronics engineering services is governed by specific Project Agreements, Statements of Work (SOW), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) signed for each client engagement.
01. Agreement to Terms
By accessing technoleanlab.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. They apply to every visitor to the website, whether you're researching us, requesting a quote, or already a client — but they govern your use of the website itself, not the delivery of engineering services, which is governed by the project agreement, statement of work, and NDA signed for that specific engagement. If any term here conflicts with a signed project agreement, the project agreement takes precedence for that engagement. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the website.
These Terms are written primarily for engagement with businesses. If you are using the website as a consumer rather than in the course of a business, the mandatory protections available to you under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer law apply in addition to, and to the extent of any inconsistency instead of, these Terms.
02. Services
TechnoLean Lab provides electronics engineering services: hardware design, PCB layout, embedded firmware development, prototyping, DFM and production support, control systems design, and related software development. Service descriptions on this website are indicative of our capability and typical process — they are not a quotation, offer, or binding commitment for any specific project. A binding engagement exists only once both parties sign a project agreement or statement of work, which will set out scope, pricing, timeline, and deliverables specific to that project.
03. Website Use
You may browse the website and submit enquiries for legitimate business purposes. You agree not to: submit false or misleading information through our contact or quote forms; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or any account; use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content from the site without our prior written consent; or use the site in any way that is unlawful or intended to harm TechnoLean Lab or another user. We may suspend or restrict access to the website, without notice, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached. This does not affect any separate rights or obligations under a signed project agreement.
04. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — text, graphics, logos, diagrams, and code — belongs to TechnoLean Lab or is used under licence, and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may view and share links to this content for legitimate business purposes, but may not reproduce, republish, or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission. This section covers the website only. Ownership of deliverables from an actual engineering engagement — schematics, PCB layouts, firmware, documentation — is set out in the relevant project agreement, and is frequently assigned to the client on final payment; check your specific agreement rather than relying on this page.
05. Confidentiality and Data Protection
We treat project discussions as confidential from the first substantive conversation, and sign a mutual NDA before any technical detail is exchanged in depth. Our team is bound by confidentiality obligations through their employment agreements, and any subcontractor or specialist we bring onto a project is bound by equivalent obligations before they see your materials. This website's contact and quote forms are not a secure channel for sharing sensitive IP — if you're sharing detailed specifications or proprietary designs, wait until an NDA is in place, or ask us for a secure transfer method.
Where personal data is shared with us or processed in the course of your use of this website or an engagement, that processing is carried out in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, and protect personal data generally; project-specific data processing terms, where needed, are set out in the relevant project agreement.
06. No Professional Advice
Content on this website — process explanations, standards references (such as IPC-2221 Class 3 or IEC 60601), and general commentary — is provided for informational purposes and reflects our typical approach. It is not engineering advice for your specific product, and shouldn't be relied on as a substitute for a scoped engagement, where we account for your actual requirements, constraints, and compliance targets.
07. Limitation of Liability
This website and its content are provided on an "as is" basis. We keep it reasonably up to date but make no warranty as to its completeness or accuracy, and nothing on it should be relied upon as a substitute for a signed proposal or agreement. This limitation applies to the website only; liability arising from actual engineering services delivered under a project agreement is governed by the liability terms of that agreement, not by this page.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with your use of this website — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise — is limited to £500.
08. External Links
Where this site links to external websites — client references, standards bodies, supplier documentation — we don't control and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Following a link is at your own discretion.
09. Accessibility
We aim to make this website accessible and usable across common browsers, devices, and assistive technologies, but we can't guarantee compatibility with every configuration, and functionality may vary accordingly. If you have difficulty accessing any part of this site, please contact us and we'll try to help.
10. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events reasonably beyond their control — including component and supply chain shortages, manufacturing or shipping disruption, internet or hosting outages, or acts of government — for as long as that event continues.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
Before starting formal proceedings, we'd encourage you to raise any dispute with us directly at sales@technoleanlab.com so we have a chance to resolve it informally.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them or from use of this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed project agreement or NDA for a specific engagement, form the entire agreement between you and TechnoLean Lab for that context. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; changes take effect once published here, and the "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent revision. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
